Northeastern University Marketing Association

I currently serve as the President of the Northeastern University Marketing Association (NUMA), a collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). As President, I plan and run our weekly meetings, coordinating with local employers (such as TJX, Wayfair, and IBM) to run panels and workshops that educate our members on the different types of marketing as well as different industries they can apply their marketing skills in. I also oversee an 18-person executive board that runs all our chapter operations, including fundraising, partnership, community service, and membership.

Throughout my time in NUMA I have created and managed a 28-person mentorship program to aid students with the college transition, increased membership by 53% through development of programs, competed in multiple case competitions that entailed designing a marketing plan for companies struggling with their marketing, and been selected as one of nine members to attend the AMA’s International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, where our chapter was awarded ‘Outstanding Membership.’

Emerging Markets Club

I am a founding member of the Emerging Markets Club, a club on Northeastern University’s campus focused on the development of international markets and how these developments impact the business world in which we live. As Head of Communications I was in charge of all external communications, including potential club speakers, industry leaders, and professors. Due to the startup nature of the club, I also headed our recruitment, as well as public relations. It was my job to ensure that we had a growing club membership and to promote all activities and events on campus.

The Emerging Markets Club absorbed the responsibilities of NU Global Summit, an organization which yearly hosts a summit focusing on a particular theme in business. To support this initiative, I worked on a three-person marketing team, where we were in charge of promoting the annual summit, as well as informing other students about the opportunities the club provides. I ran the club’s Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as NU Global Summit’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
